The ability to serve international customers was already there
The studio was preparing to relocate and had no international customers. A working route from Google Maps and a website to discovery and booking was not established. The owner, however, could communicate in foreign languages and understood marketing. The gap lay between the ability to provide the service and a route through which customers could find it.
Passing international foot traffic at the proposed location was insufficient to rely on. The studio needed people willing to seek it out for the service, with a reason to make the trip communicated before they reached the neighborhood.
At the time, one person handled consultations and treatments. A plan focused solely on maximizing inquiries could therefore consume the owner’s time before creating useful capacity. Reaching more people and attracting bookings suitable for a limited schedule needed to be considered together.
Premium positioning has to fit the service schedule
The project chose to explain expertise and service value while aiming for higher revenue per customer. It sought customers who could understand and select the treatment rather than relying on low prices and large volumes. That direction also set the information the global account and website would need to communicate.
For a one-person operation, a higher transaction value is not automatically better. An appointment may also use more consultation and service time. This case does not publish appointment-level time or cost data, so improvement in profit per hour cannot be calculated. Revenue growth and operating efficiency are different outcomes.
Another studio considering this approach can examine service duration, preparation and explanation time, and the burden of rescheduling. A higher-priced service occupying much of the day has a different effect on the appointment book. Reviewing the price list alongside the schedule makes the choice of what to promote more concrete.
Create a place for unfamiliar customers to understand the service
A separate global Instagram account was created alongside the existing account and supplied with content. A new website was built around booking convenience, professional presentation, and SEO and AEO considerations. These gave people arriving from discovery channels an official explanation and a route to inquire.
Online information can handle the decisions a customer needs to make before consultation. The response process differs depending on whether the team must introduce every service from the beginning or can start with the person’s dates and requirements. The useful design question is whether a customer can find the relevant explanation, not simply how much text the website contains.
For illustration, when scope and booking steps are publicly explained, the person handling an inquiry can concentrate on the individual’s dates and requirements rather than rewrite the same introduction. Expanding advertising before preparing that explanation can multiply similar questions across languages and time zones. This is a reason to prepare information before broadening reach.
Broader targeting was accompanied by conversion and inquiry work
Advertising expanded to more than forty countries, with a separate campaign for a particular region. Forty-plus describes advertising targets, not the nationalities of people who visited. This widened the search for demand beyond local passing traffic.
After collecting conversion data, the project used target CPA and target ROAS and shifted from click-focused to conversion-focused operation. Inquiry handling was standardized as well. Attracting attention and responding to it were both included in the work.
Conversion measurement records customer actions selected by the advertiser. Distinguish inquiries, bookings, and actual payments so the next bidding decision can use a meaningful signal. In another account, the starting point for conversion-focused bidding should follow tracking readiness and the operating objective.1
A business applying this lesson need not create a separate contact channel for every new target country. First establish what the existing response process can handle. Separate operations when an actual difference in language or response time requires it. Advertising reach and operational complexity do not need to expand at the same rate.
Read three months of results without merging the measures
The embedded report for February through April 2026 records cumulative revenue of KRW 55.02 million, 296 inquiries, and 126 sales. Monthly revenue was KRW 3.65 million, KRW 10.37 million, and KRW 41 million. In the final month, 79 sales from 162 inquiries produced a reported inquiry-to-sale rate of 48.8%. “Sales” retains the report’s counting category; it is not relabeled as unique customers.
The KRW 41 million figure is total studio revenue in month three, not revenue attributable exclusively to advertising, AI search, or international customers. Maps and AI visibility and international arrivals were reported alongside it, but detailed channel attribution was not disclosed. Monthly and cumulative revenue are not added, and these figures do not establish net profit.
| Period or measure | Reported value | Scope or denominator |
|---|---|---|
| February 2026 revenue | KRW 3.65m | Revenue for the month |
| March 2026 revenue | KRW 10.37m | Revenue for the month |
| April 2026 / month-three revenue | KRW 41m | Total studio monthly revenue |
| February–April cumulative revenue | KRW 55.02m | Sum of the three monthly figures |
| February–April inquiries and sales | 296 and 126 | Different reporting categories |
| Final-month inquiry-to-sale rate | 48.8% | 79 sales divided by 162 inquiries |
Applying the lesson: reassess capacity after growth
Staff were hired as the business expanded. An approach designed around one person is not automatically suitable for the next stage. Deciding whether to delegate inquiries, increase service availability, or preserve the owner’s role in particular treatments becomes part of the next operating decision.
Review unanswered inquiries, available appointment time, and completed service delivery alongside acquisition. If the operation cannot accept more customers reliably, improving information, handling, or staffing may deserve attention before more reach. Clear responsibility also matters after hiring: adding a person does little to relieve the owner if every inquiry must still return to them for a second review.
The case connects positioning, a global account and website, wider targeting, conversion-focused operation, and standardized inquiries. Its transferable lesson is to pair the search for customers with readiness to serve them. The first thing another studio should copy is the capacity question, rather than the forty-country target list.
